You will partner closely with FP&A, Commercial, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, Market Access, and Enterprise Analytics. Responsibilities include independently managing recurring analyses and reporting, leading ad hoc modeling, and providing decision support on commercial investments and business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development, maintenance, and refinement of revenue and commercial operating expense forecasts, with particular accountability for unit economics and underlying volume, price, reimbursement, and operational drivers.
  • Lead analyses of actual results against plan, forecast, and prior periods; independently identify and quantify key drivers of variance, assess business implications, and communicate clear conclusions and recommended actions.
  • Own key deliverables for annual operating planning, long-range planning, forecast updates, scenario analysis, and variance analysis related to revenue, commercial operating expenses, and associated financial assumptions.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve financial models, reporting, and analytical tools used to evaluate commercial financial performance, forecast outcomes, and support business decisions.
  • Independently analyze large and complex datasets, reconcile financial and operational information, resolve data discrepancies with cross-functional partners, and identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
  • Own recurring and ad hoc reporting on revenue, revenue per test, volume, commercial operating expenses, and other financial and operating metrics, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear interpretation.
  • Develop executive and Board-level materials, including financial analyses, exhibits, narratives, and supporting schedules, ensuring key messages, implications, and recommendations are clearly articulated.
  • Lead financial modeling and business-case development for commercial initiatives, growth opportunities, investments, and other business decisions; evaluate alternatives, identify financial and operational tradeoffs, and provide well-supported recommendations.
  • Serve as a finance partner to Commercial and other cross-functional stakeholders by proactively identifying analytical needs, constructively challenging assumptions, and providing financial perspectives that strengthen business decisions.
  • Partner with Enterprise Analytics to define and implement improvements to data quality, reporting tools, dashboards, and analytical infrastructure supporting commercial finance performance management.
  • Identify emerging risks and opportunities within assigned areas, evaluate potential financial impact, and recommend appropriate actions or additional analysis.
  • Establish and maintain documentation, controls, and quality standards for assigned forecasts, models, analyses, and reporting processes.
  • Independently manage multiple priorities and evolving business needs, using judgment to determine the appropriate analytical approach, level of detail, and path to resolution while maintaining high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and analytical rigor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field required.
  • Relevant experience in FP&A, investor relations, strategic finance, investment banking, management consulting, or another analytically rigorous finance environment.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and business-case-development skills, including the ability to evaluate assumptions, structure ambiguous questions, and communicate conclusions clearly.
  • Experience analyzing financial and operational performance, including revenue, volume, unit economics, and other relevant business drivers.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities and experience working with large and complex datasets to develop insights, reconcile information, identify trends, and diagnose performance gaps.
  • Experience supporting annual planning, long-range planning, scenario analysis, variance analysis, and recurring management reporting.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills and executive communication skills, including experience preparing clear, concise, and decision-oriented materials for senior leadership; experience supporting Board-level materials is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines, and respond effectively to ad hoc requests.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with Commercial, FP&A, Accounting, Revenue Cycle, Market Access, Enterprise Analytics, and other operational partners.
  • Healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory testing, life sciences, reimbursement, or experience in another complex revenue environment strongly preferred.
  • For the Manager level, experience independently leading complex forecasting, planning, modeling, reporting, or cross-functional finance projects is preferred.
