Senior Corporate Accountant

Overview

This role is for a Senior Corporate Accountant who will be a key member of the global accounting team. The position involves supporting monthly financial processes such as month-end close, account reconciliations, accounting analysis, journal entries, and audit support. Additionally, the role includes ownership of cash accounting processes, including bank statement reconciliations in Workday, researching balances in various Cash Clearing accounts, posting journal entries as needed, and performing analytics on cash balances, banking and credit card fees, and large money transfers.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank statement reconciliations in Workday and coordinate with relevant team members to resolve unreconciled transactions
• Research and post ad-hoc journal entries for unique or complex bank transactions (e.g., intercompany transfers, purchase accounting payments, expense allocations)
• Research balances in various Cash Clearing accounts and post manual journal entries as needed
• Prepare cash-related account reconciliations and supporting schedules as part of the monthly close process
• Prepare monthly account analysis including explanations of significant account variances
• Support external audits through preparation of schedules and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 4+ years of professional accounting experience
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and/or local statutory requirements
• Advanced Excel skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex processes and communicate across cultures and departments
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
• High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and across time zones

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent certification
• Experience working in a global company
• Experience with Workday or an equivalent ERP system
