Senior Data Analyst - Finance Analytics

Overview

This role supports the build-out of a new casino and horse racing product, with a focus on creating a financial reporting function from scratch. You will own the financial reporting stack end-to-end, from data modeling through final dashboards and business insights, with direct visibility to leadership.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Financial Analytics and collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, finance, legal & compliance, operations, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the complete financial reporting infrastructure for a new iCasino division, including dashboards, recurring reports, and KPI tracking
• Own data modeling in partnership with the analytics engineering team through to final reporting in Sigma and Oracle
• Join and transform large, complex datasets using SQL, Snowflake, and dbt to support cross-functional reporting needs
• Surface insights on business performance and communicate findings clearly to finance and business stakeholders
• Design and develop BI solutions in Sigma following industry best practices
• Help implement and maintain best practices for internal and external Sigma environments
• Collaborate with analysts and data engineers to solve business problems and build scalable solutions
• Leverage GenAI tools (Snowflake Cortex, Claude, GitHub Copilot) to automate workflows and improve reporting efficiency
• Train and mentor others on BI best practices and newer Snowflake and Claude functionalities
• Stay current on trends in data analytics and the sports betting and gaming industry

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in an analyst role within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Strong SQL skills, including querying and working with large datasets across platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, MSSQL, Vertica, Presto, or PostgreSQL
• Experience with dbt Core or dbt Cloud, including building models, transformations, and reports
• Proficiency with a BI/visualization tool (Sigma, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
• True end-to-end project ownership, building things from scratch rather than only contributing
• Ability to communicate clearly with both engineering teams (requirements) and non-technical stakeholders (insights and progress)
• Strong accountability and autonomy, with the ability to operate without heavy direction

Preferred Qualifications

• Python for data wrangling and pipeline building
• GenAI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Snowflake Cortex, GitHub Copilot)
• Gaming, casino, or sports betting industry experience
• Startup or consulting background
• Experience working alongside finance teams as a data practitioner

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $128,250 - $168,750 USD
• Ranges will change based on country and state of residence, reflected in Geographical Zones defined by the sports betting and gaming organization. The range incorporates all Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual offer is confirmed.
