Senior Financial Analyst (Remote)

Overview

This role involves performing complex financial analysis assignments and providing creative insights to support various projects within the healthcare system. The position is primarily remote but requires occasional onsite presence for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex financial analyses for projects including business plans supporting new and expanded services, as well as facility and equipment acquisitions.
• Participate in preparing and submitting documentation for long-term financing requests.
• Assist in the development of the annual budget.
• Develop profitability analyses for clinical service lines and payor classes.
• Meet with and provide guidance to managers to assist in budget preparation and analysis projects.
• Train corporate and hospital finance staff on budget software systems.
• Develop trend analysis reports monitoring hospital or corporate key performance indicators, comparing them to internal and external benchmarks.
• Train and provide guidance to new Financial Analysts.
• Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all policies, procedures, and standards, including budgetary specifications such as time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.
• Promote professional growth and development by meeting mandatory and continuing education requirements, supporting department goals, and serving as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
• Demonstrate commitment to compassionate and personalized care by modeling service standards that provide safe, caring, personalized, and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; or equivalent training. Advanced degree preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• Five to seven years of relevant work experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Financial analyst background.
• Open to candidates with finance experience outside healthcare.
• Research background.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
