Overview

This role is a hands-on Senior Manager of FP&A reporting to the CFO. You will own how the organization plans, forecasts, and explains topline performance. Responsibilities include running the weekly billings forecast, building the annual operating plan by product, and translating product and sales data into clear analysis that supports the CFO, the executive team, and the Board.

Responsibilities

Board & executive reporting

  • Prepare the topline and KPI sections of the monthly operating review and quarterly Board materials for CFO review.
  • Build and maintain a product-level KPI scorecard, including a trimmed view for monthly reviews and a detailed view for Board reporting.
  • Lead variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year, providing clear explanations of what drove each gap.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to CFO and executive data requests.

Planning systems & data

  • Serve as FP&A’s day-to-day lead for planning system work (currently Planful), including requirements, data validation, revenue and allocation models, and user training.
  • Partner with Data and IT to bring Snowflake and NetSuite data into planning and reporting via clean, reconciled data feeds.
  • Replace manual spreadsheets with repeatable, automated reporting.
  • Document models, planning calendars, and controls to ensure knowledge is not concentrated in one person.

Business partnership

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and product teams on their numbers and test underlying assumptions.
  • Support investment cases for marketing campaigns, product launches, and headcount, including ROI and payback analysis.
  • Partner with Accounting on close timing, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and accrual accuracy.

Growth path & additional support

  • Senior individual contributor role with a path to Director as scope grows.
  • Act as backup on critical models and processes across FP&A.
  • Support ad-hoc projects such as audits, cost programs, and M&A analysis.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years in FP&A, sales finance, or corporate finance.
  • Experience in software, SaaS, or subscription businesses, with hands-on billings or revenue forecasting and topline KPI work.
  • Proven, hands-on experience using Claude or similar AI assistants (ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) in daily finance work (not just casual use).
  • Track record of building AI-assisted workflows that saved real time or improved quality (be ready to show 2–3 examples).
  • Strong judgment on AI limits: verify outputs, tie them back to source, and know when not to use AI.
  • Expert financial modeling in Excel; comfortable with large, linked, driver-based models.
  • Strong understanding of billings vs. revenue, deferred revenue, and software revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Clear written and spoken communication, including presenting to senior leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NetSuite (ERP), including GL structure, saved searches, and reporting.
  • Experience with Snowflake, including writing SQL to pull and join billings, customer, and product data.
  • Advanced Claude use: Projects, connectors, skills, artifacts, Claude in Excel, or the Claude API.
  • Light scripting (Python or similar) to automate data prep and reporting.
  • Experience helping colleagues adopt AI tools.
  • Experience implementing or administering a planning tool (Planful, Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar).
  • BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience in a private-equity-backed company, including sponsor and lender reporting.
  • Experience with multi-product, multi-currency, multi-channel businesses (direct, e-commerce, reseller).
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Fully remote role with flexible hours.
  • Flexible arrangements to support how you work best.

Location

  • Fully remote; work from anywhere.
