This role is with the enterprise work management platform that supports more than 120,000 organizations, including over 85% of the Fortune 500.

The organization is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Senior Manager to join its Tax team. The Senior Manager will oversee indirect tax compliance and reporting and will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws.

You will report to the Vice President, Tax & International Accounting, located in the Bellevue office. The role is remote eligible, with a preference for Mountain or West Coast time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Own and oversee monthly compliance and filings across US domestic state/local jurisdictions as well as foreign jurisdictions while maintaining appropriate documentation to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance
  • Evaluate product taxability and lead taxability matrix determination and configuration of the organization’s tax engines and reporting tools
  • Monitor global digital economy regulations and international cross-border rules that may impact the organization, implementing changes in business processes as needed
  • Manage tax audits end to end, including responding to audit queries and information requests as well as notice resolutions
  • Own account reconciliations and accruals related to indirect taxes for financial statement reporting
  • Lead and grow a globally distributed team supporting hiring, coaching, and development as the function scales
  • Set clear objectives, evaluate performance, coach, train, and instill a high performance culture with focus on teamwork, performance excellence and ownership
  • Foster an inclusive culture that recognizes individual strengths and creates space for engagement and growth
  • Represent the tax function in cross-functional projects, bringing tax expertise to broader business initiatives
  • Contribute to special projects as priorities evolve

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years tax experience in a public accounting firm or equivalent experience in a large corporate tax department with an emphasis on technology and SaaS preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. sales & use tax along with international VAT/GST regimes
  • People management experience with a record of leading, directing and coaching teams
  • Hands-on experience with Avalara, NetSuite, Alteryx and Salesforce including the ability to leverage data tools to manage large volumes of data is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, analytical and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

US Base Salary Pay Range

  • $162,500 - $192,500 USD

In addition to base salary, the role may be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity.
