Senior Revenue Accountant

Overview

A growing healthcare technology organization is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their finance team. This role is critical to daily financial operations, focusing on the general ledger and the order-to-cash cycle. The position requires managing high-volume transactional data with accuracy in a fast-paced environment and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Revenue Operations & Technical Accounting:

  • Perform first-level reviews of customer contracts and order forms to ensure revenue recognition aligns with ASC 606.
  • Partner with Deal Desk and Legal teams to identify non-standard terms in pending deals.
  • Assist in preparing technical accounting memos for complex or non-standard revenue arrangements.
  • Support maintenance and consistent application of revenue recognition policies across product lines.

• Operational Execution:

  • Execute monthly and quarterly revenue close tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses.
  • Collaborate with Billing and Finance Operations teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Support process improvements and automation initiatives within the ERP system to scale revenue operations.

• Cross-Functional Support & Compliance:

  • Assist Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with data gathering for revenue forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Prepare Provided by Client (PBC) schedules and supporting documentation for external audits.
  • Help document processes and maintain internal controls to support IPO readiness and SOX compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, focusing on revenue recognition or technical accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Solid understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Experience in SaaS, software, or healthcare technology industries is highly valued.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and Salesforce; experience with revenue automation tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $80,000 to $115,000 annually.
