Staff Accountant - REMOTE

Overview

Staff Accountant – Remote position requiring residence within 75 miles of St. Louis, MO.

Full-time role with a salary range of $70,000 - $85,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, holidays, and paid time off.

Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, flexible, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close processes including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Reconcile balance sheet, income statement, cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Execute accounting projects such as financial analysis, ERP implementations, and reporting.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies and errors in financial records.
• Process and maintain client financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manage accounting tasks and project deadlines effectively.
• Communicate with clients to obtain documentation, answer questions, and provide status updates.
• Ensure accuracy, accountability, and timely completion of all assigned client work.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger and GAAP accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
