Overview

Full-time position for a Trust & Estate Tax Manager to support complex trust, estate, gift, and high-net-worth individual tax work. This role emphasizes review, planning, research, and client service, and will serve as a technical resource for assigned client relationships with partner oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Review complex trust, estate, gift, and high-net-worth individual tax returns
  • Provide advanced technical assistance, tax planning, and research on complex tax matters
  • Work directly with clients on follow-up items, planning opportunities, and ongoing needs
  • Manage research projects to deliver accurate and efficient work products
  • Prepare complex trust, estate, and gift tax returns as needed
  • Serve as a trusted tax resource for assigned client relationships
  • Develop and mentor staff and seniors through training and performance feedback
  • Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billings, collections, and project budgets
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to support continued growth in the practice

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recent public accounting experience with a trust and estate tax focus
  • Experience with trust, estate, and gift tax matters
  • Ability to review high-net-worth individual tax returns
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to build and retain client relationships
  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and develop others
  • Licensed CPA or JD required

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated compensation range: $135,000 - $175,000

Location

Full-time role with remote or local office options. Fully remote in: AZ, CA, CO, IA, ID, KS, MT, NC, NV, OR, SC, TX, UT, AK, or WA.
