Overview

This role supports the organization by bringing new opportunities into the deal pipeline and expanding the investor network of family offices, institutional investors, VCs, and angels who see opportunities early.

Investment activity is direct: investors invest directly in companies (not via fund LPs). Opportunities that clear diligence are shared with the network, and the organization also invests alongside them.

Responsibilities

• Bring in companies worth the organization’s diligence review, particularly those raising Series A and later.
• Grow relationships on both sides of the network—founders raising capital and investors writing direct cheques.
• Build new monthly connections with family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and angel investors who are new to the organization.
• Match investors to relevant opportunities by maintaining a clear understanding of each investor’s criteria.
• Keep the founders and investors you bring in current and qualified; these relationships remain yours.
• Spend time on founder and investor conversations and on evaluating which opportunities deserve the network’s attention.
• Work closely with the two co-founders and the investor team, including observing how opportunities are screened, declined, and why.

Requirements

• Maintain an active, personal network of founders raising capital and investors who write direct cheques.
• Have brought at least one company or investor into a private round and be able to explain how it happened.
• Understand what makes a company worth an investor’s time, including stage, traction, round structure, and reasons investors pass.
• Treat discretion as second nature.
• Do not include any investor or company names in the application.
• Use AI tools daily, with clear judgment about where they improve work and where they would compromise quality.
