Overview
This role is part of a financial organization focused on supporting revenue and partnership accounting with accurate recognition, timely close, and complete disclosures. The position also involves designing and implementing AI-driven automation and process improvements while preserving human oversight, governance, and audit readiness.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end accounting for revenue and partnership arrangements, including accurate revenue recognition and complete disclosures across customer and partner incentives.
- Manage month-end and quarter-end close for revenue and partnerships, including subledger reviews, exception handling, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Analyze balance sheet and P&L movements, investigate anomalies, and provide evidence-based commentary on key drivers.
- Develop understanding of commercial economics, contract terms, and data flows to ensure transactions are complete and accurately reflected.
- Review customer and partner arrangements and apply ASC 606 and US GAAP to incentives, revenue sharing, and non-standard terms.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and reporting.
- Partner with commercial, legal, tax, and data teams to define accounting and control requirements and support audits.
- Identify, design, and implement AI and automation solutions (including generative models such as ChatGPT and Gemini) to reduce manual work, improve quality, and maintain audit readiness.
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant accounting or audit experience.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606, with hands-on experience in revenue recognition, partner incentives, variable consideration, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems and transaction subledgers (Oracle or similar) and experience with month/quarter close activities.
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay Range: $86,000 - $117,500
- Starting pay is determined by factors including relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.
