Overview
This role within the Finance & Analytics team focuses on maintaining an authoritative view of business performance and analysis of the drivers behind it. Internally, outputs support decision-making; externally, they help fulfill obligations to investors, auditors, and tax authorities.
The organization is seeking a quantitative-minded generalist to lead a portfolio of analytical projects across the business and own an area of finance operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead analytical projects that change how the business is understood, including:
- Adapting the ARR definition as the business model evolves
- Evaluating the health of the sales and marketing funnel
- Identifying relationships between product initiatives and expansion or churn
- Own a traditional finance domain (such as Accounting or Tax), including:
- Operational work
- Managing external experts
- Evaluating the overall health of the operation
- Automate workflows in your domain to minimize manual effort required for operational and compliance needs; treat traditional finance processes similarly to analytical systems (inputs transformed via defined logic to produce a targeted outcome or insight)
- Lead cross-functional projects to address operational problems as they arise
Requirements
- Think in systems: build reliable processes, understand how pieces fit together, and automate repetitive work
- Strong numerical and analytical skills across a range of domains, including:
- Financial modeling
- Intermediate statistical analysis
- Reviewing methodology of external vendors
- Transforming raw data
- Ability to spot inconsistencies quickly and work toward correct answers
- SQL experience strongly preferred (analytics engineering experience is a nice-to-have)
- Use AI to improve efficiency and enjoy experimenting with novel applications; understand AI limitations and do not substitute it for your own thinking
- Learn fast and apply knowledge to day-to-day problems (you do not need to be an accountant, but you can learn and apply accounting rules)
- Adept at managing vendors, building relationships, and holding them accountable when needed
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail; able to balance multiple concurrent workstreams
- Minimum 3–5 years experience, preferably in a high-growth startup
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong quantitative undergraduate degree (MBA is a nice-to-have)
- Some familiarity with accounting principles or coursework (nice-to-have)
Compensation & Benefits
- US base salary range: $150K–$200K annually, plus equity and benefits
- Compensation is determined by role, level, location, and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, and scope of responsibility; pay may vary by geographic location and other job-related factors.
Benefits include:
- Meaningful equity
- Comprehensive US benefits package, including fully employer-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance (with 75% coverage for dependents)
- 401(k) with employer match (available to enroll after the first 30 days)
- Flexible and unlimited paid time off, including sick time
- Asynchronous, remote-first environment
Location
Based in the US, Canada, or UK.
