Financial Systems Integration Engineer

Overview

This role involves supporting Financial and Accounting operations through financial systems integration. Responsibilities include invoice data validation, learning and supporting a client billing system, assisting with system testing, and helping convert and standardize project and job financial data for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Validate approximately 5000 client invoices.
• Learn a new client billing system.
• Assist with the management of system testing on 1500+ testing scripts to ensure transactions are balanced and meet requirements for engineering analytics.
• Assist with conversion of 10000+ Projects and Jobs and all related financial and Engineering WBS data tied to those jobs.
• Partner with Business SMEs to prepare process flow diagrams for all financial processes, ensuring users properly classify engineering WBSs for consistent analytics.
• Partner with Business SMEs to prepare procedures and policies for all processes, with guidance from the engineering team on Projects, to establish the correct WBS.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Experience dealing with various types of contracts.
• Knowledge of accounting/financial concepts and practices.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in PC software packages typically associated with accounting.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Programs.
• Ability to work independently after being shown how to perform a task.
• Ability to adapt to daily changes in work schedule.
