Overview
This role is for an Entry level Financial Analyst supporting budgeting, expense analysis, and financial reporting.

- Annual base salary: $75,000–$85,000 USD
The work includes preparing accurate financial schedules and providing clear explanations of results, along with communicating questions that require further review.
Previous full-time analyst experience is not required. Relevant coursework, projects, or internships can demonstrate a foundation for the role.
A financial summary should be traceable to its supporting records. Source references and calculation notes must be kept alongside work.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recurring financial reports, including checking formulas and supporting schedules.
- Investigate discrepancies by tracing figures to their source and requesting clarification.
- Record assumptions and maintain organized working files so calculations can be reviewed.
- Gather figures from approved records and review them for missing information or inconsistencies.
- Maintain budget and forecast schedules, recording the assumptions used in each update.
- Compare actual revenue and expenses with budgeted amounts and summarize significant differences.
Requirements
- Foundational knowledge of accounting concepts and the relationship between income statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow statements.
- Familiarity with Excel formulas, lookup functions, and pivot tables.
- Ability to work carefully with numerical information and explain calculations.
- Strong organization, written communication, and attention to deadlines.
- Understanding of the importance of handling financial information confidentially.
Relevant study in finance, accounting, economics, or a related subject is helpful. Academic budgeting and financial modeling projects are useful examples of relevant skills.
