Overview
This entry-level Financial Analyst role is remote in the United States and offers full-time employment. The position includes an annual base salary range of $60,000–$80,000 USD.
In this role, you will assist with budgeting, expense analysis, and financial reporting, using a careful and organized approach to assigned work.
Responsibilities
- Prepare actual-versus-budget comparisons and explain material differences in revenue or spending.
- Assist with recurring financial reports, including checking formulas and supporting schedules.
- Help investigate discrepancies by tracing figures to their source and requesting clarification.
- Keep supporting files and model assumptions organized so colleagues can follow your calculations.
- Compile financial information from approved sources and check it for completeness and consistency.
- Maintain budget and forecast schedules, recording the assumptions used in each update.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of accounting concepts and how income statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow statements relate.
- Familiarity with Excel formulas, lookup functions, and pivot tables.
- Ability to work carefully with numerical information and explain calculations.
- Strong organization, written communication, and attention to deadlines.
- Understanding of the importance of handling financial information confidentially.
Relevant study in finance, accounting, economics, or a related subject is helpful. Demonstrated skills through academic work, personal projects, or internships is acceptable.
