Overview

Internal Control is a separate, independent function that reviews the work of all departments within a multi-jurisdiction Family Office, including Finance. The function reports directly to the UBO and provides independent assurance that money is spent as intended, controls are in place, and risks are managed.

You will join the Internal Control team (4–5 people) led by the Head of Internal Audit. The role is fully remote.

  • Test the design and operating effectiveness of controls, including compliance with Delegation of Authority and internal policies
  • Analyse full populations of transactions to detect anomalies, duplicates, conflicts of interest, and fraud red flags
  • Write clear audit reports in English (findings, root causes, risk ratings, practical recommendations) and agree action plans with process owners
  • Report audit results and the status of agreed actions directly to the UBO, together with the Head of Internal Audit
  • Perform ad-hoc reviews and investigations requested by the UBO
  • Contribute to the annual risk assessment and audit plan approved by the UBO; advise on control improvements (management remains the owner of processes and controls)
  • Lead audits end-to-end, coordinate external advisors, review the work of colleagues, and present results to the UBO

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of accounting (IFRS), internal control frameworks (COSO), and IIA Standards
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; SQL / Power BI is a plus
