- Run the annual budget and long-range planning process end to end, including cadence, assumptions, stakeholder inputs, and the consolidated plan committed to by the executive team.
- Own the monthly and quarterly forecast cycle and variance analysis, explaining what moved against plan and prior period after Accounting closes the books, why it moved, and what it means for the forecast.
- Create executive-ready financial insights
- Write the executive narrative translating financial results into clear business insights for the CFO, founders, the board, and investors at a standard that holds up to external diligence.
- Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders to turn the numbers into business decisions.
- Support planning systems and decision-making frameworks
- Assess options for a planning system, make recommendations, and own rollout.
- Build the financial case for new opportunities, including products, verticals, channels, and partnerships.
- Model and evaluate new opportunities

- Compare actual results to the underwriting case once initiatives are live and carry learnings into future decisions.
- Monitor product and channel economics, including CAC and payback, policy retention and lifetime value, contribution margin, and other related unit economics.
- Support corporate development workstreams through diligence, modeling, and transaction analysis as needed.
- Help refine frameworks used for build, buy, or partner decisions and return profile comparisons.
