Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead junior tax staff.
  • Maintain high-quality client relationships without tracking billable hours.

Requirements

  • Active CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of tax experience, preferably with high-net-worth client exposure.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in individual, trust, partnership, and S-corp taxation.
  • Comfortable working fully remote and self-directed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public accounting or private wealth tax environments.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex tax matters to clients and financial advisors.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary up to $160,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Annual discretionary bonus ranging from 10% to 15%.
  • Unlimited paid time off plus two floating holidays and all standard U.S. holidays.
  • Medical coverage with multiple plan options.
  • 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match when employee contributes 5%.
  • Commuter benefits allowing pre-tax contributions up to $325 per month.
  • Employee Assistance Program offering 24/7 mental health and wellness support.
  • No billable hour tracking.

Work Environment

  • Fully remote position within the United States.
  • Workload averages 50–55 hours per week during busy season, limited to a few weeks before deadlines.
  • Balanced busy season with timely filing to avoid extension season chaos.
  • Emphasis on quality work and client relationships rather than timesheet tracking.

Location

  • 100% remote within the United States.

Tax Senior Managers or Directors with high-net-worth experience are also encouraged to apply, as opportunities may be available at those levels.
