Senior Accounting Manager

Overview

The organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to manage accounting processes and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role partners with the FP&A team to support accurate accruals and capitalization and is responsible for general ledger activities, month-end close, and annual financial audit support.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information weekly
• Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Conduct regular general ledger maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy in accruals
• Assist the team with annual audit and tax filings
• Continuously assess and improve accounting systems and processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar degree
• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive attitude, team player, and ability to quickly adapt to changes
• Excellent Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Big four and/or public company accounting experience
• Experience with SAP, Ariba, Oracle

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $145,000 - $174,000 a year
• Sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package.
• Compensation also includes Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights.
