Overview

This role involves ensuring accurate global revenue recognition and supporting scalable revenue accounting processes for a growing organization. The Senior Revenue Accountant will maintain financial integrity as the business expands both organically and through acquisition across more than 70 countries.

Responsibilities

  • Perform global revenue recognition accounting in compliance with ASC 606, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue across all product lines and geographies.
  • Prepare and review monthly revenue journal entries, deferred revenue schedules, and related account reconciliations to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
  • Maintain and enhance revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate revenue accounting processes; collaborate cross-functionally with IT, FP&A, and operational teams to implement improvements and leverage AI tools for review and analysis.
  • Assist in post-acquisition integration of revenue accounting to support smooth transitions and consistent application of revenue recognition policies across newly acquired entities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ASC 606 by providing guidance and training to finance team members and cross-functional stakeholders as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and their practical application in a SaaS or software environment.
  • At least 6 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years focused on revenue recognition.
  • CPA certification required or actively pursuing, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Comfort with AI-assisted workflows and emerging financial technologies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leveraging automation/AI tools in finance workflows.
